Slant’d’s Mission

Amplifying Artists of the Asian Diaspora

Artist Spotlights

I researched and collected new artwork from Asian Americans and regularly amplified their work on Slant’d’s Instagram. As a platform passionate about creatives in the diaspora, I was responsible of uplifting visual artists.

From Instagram reels showing off my zine collection to carousel posts showcasing Lunar New Year art, I loved sharing other peoples’ work.

I Dream of Popo: IG Live Conversation

I held an IG Live with I Dream of Popo author Livia Blackburne and illustrator Julia Kuo where I prepared questions and topics to learn more about their process, passions, and quirks.

Create to Stop Hate: IG Live Series

During the rise of anti-Asian hate crimes, we collaborated with Create to Stop Hate, a combined effort of AAPI artists and entrepreneurs that hold auctions of their work to raise money for Stop AAPI Hate.

On Slant’d’s Instagram we held multiple group IG Lives and Instagram Story Takeovers (where we let artists log on to our account and post stories all day interacting with our following). With my team, I organized an IG Live with 3 artists, coordinated with the artists for the Takeovers, and marketed the conversations on Instagram.
